necessary parts yourself, then have the body shop just do the prep work and painting. Then put the parts back yourself. Unless you go to a really high end body shop (who will charge you accordingly) they will mess up by cutting corners, sloppy masking, or breaking and cracking your parts during removal and replacement. Unfortunately, unless you really trust your body guy, this is necessary in order to simply get an acceptable result. I'm not into show car paint jobs or finishes, I just want good quality work that doesn't show errors upon close inspection.
